If you have a doppler..come in

Even after you found the h/b, were some days harder to find it then others? I found it today for a few seconds here and there, but it was difficult to find. I am just wondering if this is normal. Thanks ladies.

  • I don't have one, but used to use them at work a lot.  Babies move so it's going to be different everyday where it is and how easy you find it.

  • I have a question about dopplers too.  Im probably going to get flamed for this but we shall see.  Did anyone get approval from their doctor before they got one?  I am planning on renting one, but every site that I am on says that they are only supposed to be used by doctors.
  • I didn't. I bought mine off of amazon.com for 115 dollars. I think there is some law someone found on here that says, you must get a dr. approval.

  • Yes this happens to me.  For instance this morning I found it immediately and it was very loud and clear.  Then this afternoon my sister came over and wanted to hear and it seriously took like 15 min (stage fright?? haha).  Finally I found it and the little one had moved!  Normally he/she is always found to the right side, and this afternoon I found the h/b more to the left.

As for doctor approval.  We told our Dr. that we had a home doppler and she said nothing about it besides that she thought it sounded "fun" to have.  So she didn't seem concerned in the least bit.

  • Yes...sometimes it takes me 15+ minutes to find it and keep it in one spot. I think it's completely normal.
