So my cousins Girlfriend is pg. and is due next month. Her friend threw a big babyshower for her and invited my aunt (the new grandma) and my grandma, and then when other people asked where their invites were, she told everyone that my aunt and grandma was supposed to invite the rest of the family. Have you ever heard of an invite through hear-say? Cause I have not, thought this was kind of rude and very odd. I still sent a gift but I wouldn't have even of known about the babyshower if my aunt wouldn't have called my mom all upset about it and complaining about how stupid she was. (friend throwing the shower is her other sons finance) I wonder if I we will get an invite to the wedding or if it will be hear-say then too...lol! Is this weird or is it just me?

sounds to me like her friend is trying a big fat CYA since she rudely flaked on inviting the family.
