First, the rant....
I have to preface this by saying that I am very happy with what God gave me... So, I normally come to these boards and just participate in fun polls and 'congrats' and 'well wishes' but now I gotta use you guys to sound off. I am beyond sick of hearing things like "Oh, me?...I didn't show til the day I went into labor" ( ) Of course, this is a complete exaggeration, but sometimes ppl, be it on the boards or daily "real-life" conversing, seem to be out to beg for that compliment and want to seem "better" than the majority, all in the hopes of making people jealous of them. I hope it comes across that I am, indeed, pleased with myself, but am just tired of certain ladies (we all know someone who does this...) making others feel bad for weighing more than 85lbs. I am not trying to side with a certain body type, but with all body types. People should not be put-down just so you (and those people, again in real- or board- life, know who they are) can feel better. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing and we should allow our bodies, specifically bellies, move and change in the ways it sees fit.
And, the thank you....
I wandered over to the 2nd tri boards, so this is aimed to the 1st and 2nd tri boards, since those are the only ones I tend to visit, and was so happy, relieved, excited....to hear women being real. I was so relieved to read people saying at 7,8,9...weeks that their pants are tight and they are having bloat. Specifically to the 2nd tri boards, some women posted pics of why not to compare bellies because some woman who was further along by a month or two was smaller than she who was behind her (I guess the 2 ladies had met and had a photo op) and the post, and several replies, read that belly size is individual to each woman, and that comparisons should not be made between women because of that fact. Amen!
Thanks for reading...I just really needed to let that out! My hubs let me talk about it, but then he had to go back to work:( I really do love my little hourglass figure and want me, and every other woman, to be able to love their body w/o those wandering "thunder-snatchers"!
Re: A Rant and a Thank You!
*Stands and applauds, loudly*
I agree. ?I've been in bella band since 6 weeks. ?
Thank you Danielswife!
My bella band is getting here today to give my tummy some relief during times of nausea and a bit of snugginess in the jeans, but I'm so happy to know you feel the same. Thank you again!!!
No problem, snsgurl728!
And here's a secret: I've had a pair of maternity jeans for the last week and a half. ?And they are so comfy. ?And I so don't care that I don't "need" them yet.
