  • Sorry, I'm in Mesa and that probably wouldn't help...  Sad

  • Dr. Diane Spieker with Central Phoenix Womens Health is really good.  She is on 3rd street and Osborne. My mom is a nurse and that's who I went to when I lived in AZ.  (602) 265-9161

  • Dr Urig on 16th Street and Camelback. It is Good Sam. :)

  • I go to Maricopa OB/GYN and see dr. Brock Jackson they are at 16th street and Highland at the camelback arboleda.  he is wonderful and has been very helpful with my IF issues.
  • maricopa obgyn is awesome.  my doctor is dr. mayer, but urig delivered my son and my little sister (she is 16!!)  they are all wonderful, and deliver only at good sam.
  •  Hey, I am using Bruce Culbertson, Kevin Lythgoe, and Corey Bruce.  I am a nurse and their office came highly recommended by the L and D staff at St Joes.  The office is located at 7th St and Thomas.  I think all have privledges at both Banner and St Joes.  There is also a midwife program at the DORM clinic at St Joes.  Good Luck!
  • This will be my one and only medical comment on this board for my own sanity and liability.  I'm an ob/gyn resident and I work out of St. Joe's and Maricopa County Hospital (it's a combined program).  I'm delivering at St. Joe's, if that means anything.  I'd recommend any of the following private physicians that deliver there:

    Dr. Steve Plimpton

Drs. Diane Spieker, Carol Hahn, Emily Cyr

Drs. Corey Bruce, Kevin Lythgoe, Bruce Culbertson

Drs. Mariana Amaya, William Chavira, Enriqueta Porras (no resident involvment except in event of emergency or preterm issue)

Drs. Michael Medchill and Todd LaRoque

There is another group that works out of St. Joe's that is great, but it is larger and consist of about 6 physicians, all of whom I like working with.  They're out of the Women's Care Clinic.

This is not to say that the other physician groups aren't competant.  I just prefer the above groups for a variety of reasons and refer our drop-in "no-doc" patients to them more often than other physicians.

  • Stay away from Dr. Steve Plimpton. From personal experience I found him to be a very uncaring and arrogant doctor. He has a very bad bed side manner and don't even get me started on his staff.
