And so did both kids.  First full day alone with my now 6 week old and 20 month old.  The house looks like a bomb went off in it but other than that things went pretty well.

 

I've done a few evenings and overnights but this was the first full day of mom only on duty.  I do NOT know how SAHMs do this all day, every day.  Hats off to you!

Just curious--how did you manage to not be alone for the better part of 6 weeks?  Did your DH get to take an extended paternity leave or did you have other help lined up?

DS #1 is in daycare full time Mon-Fri.  Having just the 'newborn' at home is sooo easy! 

 

Both of our mothers live close by, as well as some other family.  Every other weekend day if DH has been away (like today) or working, I've had a visit from a family member or friend or I've gone to visit my mom for 1/2 a day (or more!).  I had done a few hours by myself here and there, and several overnights (DH would wait until DS #1 was asleep before leaving) due to business trips/obligations.
