Has anyone delivered at Crittenton in Rochester? If so do you have any feedback on the quality of the hospital and your experience? That is the only place my doctor goes and I really love him, but I don't know much about the hospital.
I didn't deliver there, but I've known a few people who have and they all were happy. One thing they do that's kind of nice is they have a special dinner. I'm not sure if they've changed the menu, but I heard you had a choice between steak or lobster- so it's a pretty nice dinner by hospital standards.

I did in April 2008. I had a positive experience. My doctor was great, and the nurses there were wonderful (WONDERFUL!). My sister in law delivered two times there--21 and 20 years ago.
Some people don't like to deliver out of smaller hospitals, but I didn't mind, and in many ways, preferred it. All my doctors (and my daughter's pedi) were affiliated. Plus, I lived a mile from there. If the baby has major complications, they usually transfer them to Children's Hospital in Detroit. Some people prefer everything on-site. They do have everything on-site to deal with preemies and to stabilize, etc.
The food was OK (the special dinner was pretty cool). Beside the special dinner, my DH went across the street (Jimmy Johns, Pei Wei, Breuggers, etc.) to get most of my meals.
They have a professional photographer on-site, which was great. We had pictures taken when she was less than 48 hours old.
The only downside to my stay was I delivered during a baby boom, and I literally was given the last (though, private) room on the floor due to the timing of everything. It was very, very small, and I have a large family. But the odds of that happening again, according the nurses, was pretty low. (Not so lucky for me, though).
We moved out of Rochester, but I would give birth there again without hesitation.
