We're just getting started on trying to pick some names and as of now this is what we're looking at:

(I should also add that my father passed away at the end of November so honoring him is a must. His name is Douglas Ricky but went by Ricky as a kid and Rick when he got older)

 Boys: Ricky Porter 

 Porter Ricky, Hudson Ricky, Hudson Douglas, or Colton Ricky (but our last name starts with a K so I didn't know if that was too harsh)

 

Girls: (we actually both agree and love) Elle June

June is my grandmothers name.

 

Let me know what you think, or if you can think of another variation of what we have that you think flows better. Thanks!

Ricky sounds so incomplete to me (it is a family name for me too). I prefer Richard and to use Ricky as a nn but if that was his full name, it was his full name. I would go with Douglas though. I would also edit to take out your last name, because we know your full name now and there are some crazies on these boards.

Don't like Porter, it sounds very preppy, same with Hudson. Don't hate them though. Elle isn't a name in my book, but a cutesy nickname. It feels incomplete to me just like Ricky does.

I really like Hudson Douglas. My cousin named her DS Hudson as well. It is my grandmothers maiden name.

Colton is my fave of your boy names. I would use Rick or Ricky as the mn since that was your dad's name... is using your maiden name (if you changed your name) another option for the middle name to honour your dad that way?

Maiden name definitely not an option haha it was similar to the sound coyote's make at night.

I like Colton but I don't like Ricky with it. I like Hudson too. I'm not big on the combinations you have together. Also for the girl name I would do Ella June instead of Elle June. It flows better.

Hudson Douglas isn't too bad, but nothing I would use.  I really like Elle June. 

I love that you are honoring your father and grandmother.  If we are lucky enough to have a boy, he will be Edward James, after my father and hubby.

What about Porter Douglas? That sounds the best to me.

Thanks ladies for all of the help and opinions! It's nice to have an outside look since we're not sharing our name options with our friends or family until we know the sex of the baby and maybe not until we have the baby.

Not a fan of Ricky with anything.  I like Hudson Douglas, but I honestly keep reading it Hunter Douglas (like the blinds), I can't help it.
