Everyday Stroller?

Okay, I think I am officially stroller obsessed!  I just love baby gear - lol!  I am looking for an everyday stroller to replace my "Snap 'n Go" once DS outgrows his infant car seat.  I already have a lightweight stroller and a jogger.  Looking more for everyday use that has a nice storage basket.  Any suggestions?  Was looking at the Chicco Cortina but don't know that much abou it.  Any feedback on this one?  Open to other suggestions as well.

TIA!

Re: Everyday Stroller?

  • We used the Snap N Go (the Graco one that works with the Snugride) and then the Chicco Capri (the lightweight stroller).  We had a bigger Graco stroller (the Metrolite I think) but sold it.  Our lightweight stroller is what we always used for everything form walks through the neighborhood to longer outings.  I'm so glad we sold our other one, which we never used.  For one thing, Ava is only 18 months old and is already hard to contain in a stroller.  She likes to get out and walk with us, and I'm sure that by this summer, she'll spend most of her time outdoors on her tricycle anyway.  For outings where a stroller is absolutely necessary, she'll be in the double stroller with her little sis - which is another reason I'm glad I didn't keep the Metrolite.  We wouldn't have gotten much use out of it since we are already on our way to 2 under 2 and purchasing a double stroller.  Honestly, I'm dreading the double stroller.  I'm just not into big bulky baby equipment.  I like to keep it as low maintenance as possible.  So, I guess what I'm saying is I've never missed having a big stroller.  Just some things to think about.  That being said, when I purchased the Metrolite, it got great reviews.

  • We decided to go with the Maclaren Quest (the Chicco adamsbabble mentioned was another choice for us). It is really a great stroller, although I'm still not convinced it's worth the price. But the weight limit is 55 lbs, which is nice and high for me to get my money's worth, and it steers really well. Very lightweight and easy to get in and out of the car, which was really my main concern. I also wanted a stroller that would recline so she could sleep in it, which she does.

  • We have the combi Cosmo.  We have only used it a few times but really like it so far.
  • I am stroller obsessed too.  We have a Snap N Go that we use all the time.  The only time we ever get out a different stroller is when we want DD to be able to front face so she can see.  Usually for trips to the park, zoo, aquarium etc.  We know that our days are numbered with the SNG so we have tried several strollers to find one we love.

I have  Metrolite and I hate it.  It is too cumbersome to open/close, and takes up over half of the trunk space in my vehicle. I have used it once, and do not care to ever get it out again.  I have a cheapy umbrella stroller that someone gave to me.  It will be fine when DD is a toddler, but does not recline and is too big for now.  I bought a MacLaren and decided not to keep it after taking it out of the box, as it was rather flimsy for the money IMO.

I ended up with this one in charcoal and I posted about it last week:

https://tinyurl.com/bphm4d  It arrived quickly and we have used it a bit already.  I love it.  It is compact, extremely sturdy, folds and unfolds easily, and has easy to adjust seat and straps. It has a cup holder and ample room for a diaper bag in the basket.  I love that it is a green product made from recycled products, and it is able to be recycled.  I got it for a steal, but I see that BRU has some colors on sale right now for a good deal too.
