We'd rather not paint in the nursery since we rent. But I had this idea the other day to put some kind of palm tree in the nursery to go with our Monkey Island theme.
My problem is I don't know how to do it without a.) spending a ton of money on a fake fikus type thing or b.) it looking like some incredibly tacky paper mache project.
Anyone have any ideas?
Re: Need ideas on a tree in the nursery
I had thought about doing a big palm tree in ours too, but with two cribs and everything it would have been too much "stuff" in one not so big room. Oriental Trading Company had a lot of cute things though from what I remember. I know they had large inflatable palm trees. I can't remember if there were any more realistic looking trees in large sizes or not.
I like this one.
You ladies are awesome. I knew you would have better ideas than anything I was coming up with.
*DH suggested making one out of a dryer vent and construction paper. Thanks, honey, but not quite what I was thinking of!
The boy is resourceful, I'll give him that. Of course, he had no answer for what to do when Squeaky starts crawling and pulling up on the dryer vent tree.
