I'm really nervous

My DH takes B in and they usually call me by now to say they are up. I've been calling the house and there's no answer, I called daycare and B hasn't been dropped off yet.

I don't know if they are just still sleeping or if something happened.

I always have this irrational fear of something happening to one of us and B being home alone crying. I feel sick. Should I wait a little or have my neighbor go in through the garage?

Re: I'm really nervous

  • Well, how late are they?

  • Give it another half hour or so and if you still haven't gotten ahold of anyone and B hasn't been dropped off at daycare then I would call the neighbors.  I am sure everything is just fine Smile

  • I'd be nervous too... keep calling the house and his cell phone, sometimes my DH just doesn't hear it....
  • How late are they? What time does he usually drop her off?  Did you try his cell phone?  I think it depends on how late they are because maybe they slept in.

  • he usually drops her off by 10am. It's 10:10. He'd atleast call me by now.

    My stomach is in knots.

  • Give them until 1030 or 1045.  Hang in there hon, he may have simply dropped the phone in the toilet LOL  ;-)
  • 10min isn't too bad...keep calling, and if by 1030 you haven't heard, I'd send someone to check.
  • I can only imagine how you feel.  Is he answering his cellphone?  I'd call DC at 1030 and see if they're there yet.  Maybe they're just running late?
  • Okay, I wouldn't worry too much.  Maybe they slept in or are having a difficult morning and he is busy.  I would just keep trying him and if it gets any longer, then send the neighbor over to check on them.

  • I'd probably have the neighbor and have them go knock on the door.  I'm sure everything is fine though.

  • i'm the same as you, but i would give them awhile longer. keep calling til 10:30am and then send somebody in. how loud is your house phone and/or does he keep his cell by him while he sleeps? DH would never pick up while he's sleeping because his cell is downstairs and we don't use the house phone so until he's up and downstairs i can't get ahold of him. maybe your DH was in the shower?
