SO, our library has toddler time, and its divided in 2 years olds, and then for the 3-4 years olds. I really want to take DD, but she's only 16 months.
Does anyone take their younger baby to library story time?
I have, we have a signing time for 12-18months. I started bringing DD when she was around 9 months. I would be more concerned about the age for something like Gymboree where they are running around and playing, I would be a little scared DD would get run over. But, since it is the library and they are usually sitting I wasn't as concerned. DD was also one of the more advance in the class which I found pretty funny: )?
i took DS once, and never went back. it wasn't age appropriate at all, the leader was a biitch, and DS didn't enjoy it. so, we just do our own story times here.
I do but only because I'm sort of guilted into it by a friend. We did baby time at our library (for 0-2) and now I'm in an older story time (1-4). Noel does not do well. I mean he behaves well enough but he does not sit in my lap and pay any attention. He could care less. He just walks around the room chatting to other moms and their kids and seeing how far he can push my buttons. But he's really just not suited for that sort of thing. My friends son is 1 year and does great (but he's not walking yet) and when we were in baby time he was 7 months and also did great. Most of the other kids at both story times did great. Noel is usually 1 of 2-3 kids that could care less about what's going on.
I'd ask yourself if you think she will do well at something like that or just run all over. If it's run all over I might rethink it because you'll just spend the whole half hour making sure she's not bothering everyone else. I wouldn't take Noel if it wasn't for this friend.

I absolutely would take DD. Even if it just gets us out of the house (for a purpose other than shopping), it could be worth it. If you don't like it, leave!
Re: Story time at the library -
hmm I don't think ours has age restrictions.
Do you have a BN, we went to that one recently.?
11 months
It shouldn't be a problem... but they try to pick developmentally appropriate books, so your DC might not get as much out of it, participation wise.
My sister runs story times at her library, I can't wait to be able to take DomerBaby!
