Delivery at Mercy Anderson

For those of you who delivered at Mercy Anderson, did you have the option to labor in a tub/whirlpool?  If so, were you able to deliver in the tub?

I am not sure how I feel about actually delivering in water, but I think I would like the option to use it during labor.  Any stories from girls who actually delivered in a tub? TIA

I delievered there in 2004, but I don't think they had that option then!  After having all back labor, I would think at least laboring in a whirlpool would have felt great!

I am not sure that they offer this at Mercy Anderson.  Have you registered for the childbirth series?  I would suggest calling the coordinator of the series and asking the question.  I delivered there in 2007 but I do not think it was available.

At my childbirth class the only thing I remember hearing them mention as far as water is the shower.  I do not believe they have a tub or whirlpool there.

I think Mercy Fairfield is the only one that offers whirlpool births.  Mercy Anderson does not.

Bethesda has them in the newer rooms.  I didn't get to take advantage of it (cervidil), but it seems like a great option!
