I have not been on vacation in a long time...literally the last actual vacation that we went on was our honeymoon. So, this year we decided we were going to go on a family vacation, but we don't know where we want to go!
I want to go to the beach, and want to be right on the beach if possible. It will be us and the kids, ages 3 and during the summer B will be about 8-9 months old. I want to go somewhere that will have plenty for all of use to do and for the kids to have a good time. Nice beaches, clear water!
Help!
Re: Need vacation planning help!!
Not sure what qualifies for having plenty for everyone to do, but...
So many of the beaches here in Florida have rental houses that you can get for a week (or weekend in the high season). North Florida wouldn't be too far of a drive for you, and I highly suggest St George Island for a gorgeous beach. I know for a fact the rentals down there are great.

We rented a cottage on the beach when Riley was 13 months old. It turned out it wasn't the best idea for us. I found that I was cooking just as much - we pretty much stayed close to the cottage for all of our meals. So that wasn't a vacation for me. The water tired Riley out so much that she would take 3 hour naps in the afternoon, so that left us with not many options but to just hang out at the cottage. Also, I felt like I was constantly trying to keep the place clean because Riley was crawling all around.
Next time we'll get a hotel so I don't have to cook and clean so much, LOL.
