Ever since I stopped BFing DS my system is so out of whack. At first I had horrible AF's with really bad cramps, migraines, nausea, etc. Now I am getting really bad nausea and stomach pains and light spotting when I am ovulating, but AF is really light and cramps are not bad at all. Every few months my symptoms seem to change but my cycles are pretty regular. It is bizarre and now that I have symptoms mid-month, I feel like half my life is spent with some sort of PMS symptom. Oh, and sometimes I get this rash right before and during AF - it does not itch, but my skin gets really red and feels very hot. It lasts for several days.
I am going to see my Gyn today, but he basically says there is nothing I can do unless I want to go on hormones, which are bad to use long-term for several reasons. But I am miserable.
Does anyone have this or any sort of similar problem? Did your doctor blow it off or is there anything you can do about it?
Re: Anyone's hormones get out of whack after having DC(s)?
It turns out that my hormones are out of whack. I only know this because we are trying to have another baby. I am taking a hormone to bring my levels back into the normal range.
Yep. My son will be three on Saturday, and I'm still all wonky. My periods are a disaster, and I get this thing called "geographic tongue" when I ovulate and when I get my period.
I tried going back on BC for a few months, but they made me feel so gross that I chose just to deal with the other stuff instead.
I don't know if they will EVER go back to "normal". Ugh!
Yeah, my doc did try putting me on BCP and that royally screwed me up, so I've been dealing with it for a while too, but this nausea is killing me. It's like having MS and I've lost 12 lbs in 4 months, when it started.
