My friend gives her 1 1/2 yr old pretzels as a snack, but this terrifies me and I am hesitant to give them to my DS b/c they are so hard and Im afraid he will choke. Just wondering, do you give pretzels as a snack?
May I recommend hot pretzels? One of DS's fave food these days is a Super Pretzel heated up in the micro for 30 seconds. He especially likes the doughy part in the center and if you leave off the salt, it's actually pretty healthy.

DD LOVES pretzels. I usually don't give them to her as a snack, but if I'm eating them, of course I give her some. I eat the little twists, and they are just the right size for her little hands, and like PP said, they get soggy pretty quick after chewing on them for a while. I don't know why, but she can't get enough - she even dances when I give her one - it's become her 'pretzel dance'.
Re: pretzels?
YES! all the time. Believe it or not they get quite soggy and gross quickly!!
I have found that giving a big piece is better than the small b/c he doesn't cram the whole thing in his mouth he just knaws on it!
