Libraries force to test over 1.5 million books for lead

Now this lead thing is getting out of hand!  I saw this on the news yesterday and thought it was ridiculous.  If they do not test all the children's books by next year they will have to ban all children under 12 from the libraries.  And it costs around $300 per book to test.  Even if the public library had that kind of money, the whole thing is insane!

That is one of those situations where I ask myself why we're bothering with this when there are so many bigger problems in the world right now.  I can think of much better ways to spend that money with this crappy economy.
