Rash ?

DS has very sensitive skin. He has this awful rash on his lower back/upper butt cheeks. It's really dry and red and itchy. I've been using Aveeno diaper rash cream and lotion, but it doesn't go away. DH thinks it is a reaction to the diapers. Any ideas about what it is or what to do to get rid of it? i think I'm going to have to bring him to the doc. I just don't know what to do to give him relief. One thing I won't do is put him back in spoises, since those make the rash 10 times worse.

  • Well one of his old pedis (like a year ago) said it was eczema, but when I asked about it at his 18 mo. appt, his current pedi said it was just dry skin. But now it seems to be getting worse

  • i just typed the longest response & the internet ate my post! in short, i'd say lots of naked time, and lanolin might help if it is dry skin. don't get it on your diapers, though!

i was using cream on lucy and she ended up being rashy b/c of the cream. it was the bordeaux butt paste.
