"Please keep us in your prayers"

Before getting into details, I want to mention that I do realize that everyone on here has different beliefs and understandings, and I am not trying to bring religion on this board.

However, I was wondering if you guys would be interested in a "Prayer Group" in which I would make a post of bumpies that are in need of prayer. For example, we have seen quite a few girls on here that have lost their precious babies and are in need of thoughts and prayers. There are women on here that get sick, get sad results, fall down, have something going on in their families, etc. I was thinking of making a post every few days of names of bumpies that are going through tough times.

I know this post might be flamed, but I think that this will give us a bigger opportunity to be there for the ones in need.

Thoughts? Opinions? Yay or nay?

I think this is a wonderful idea, and if anyone gives you slack for bringing it up... don't pay attention to them!!! I participate in this on another board as well.

I'm an atheist but I can't imagine why this would get flamed. Just because some people don't personally pray, that doesn't mean they can't understand the comfort it brings others. All you're trying to do is provide support to those who need it and I think that's great.

I wouldn't be opposed. Maybe to be more inclusive you could call it a "positive thoughts and prayers group." Or something like that.

And one thing a lot of us need prayer for is lay off.  I know my DH is laid off and many other DHs and bumpies are laid off.  I'll be looking for a new job during my 8th month and through the summer (I'm a teacher.)
