Yes, I already called the on-call pediatrician and he told me if her fever is under 102 she'd be ok overnight and to bring her in tomorrow. any higher and we shold go to the ER. He also said to give her motrin and tylenol, but not to rotate them every 2 hours because that's too much. although he didn't say how often. We gave her motrin and she immediately spit most of it out. I won't give her anymore, but have no idea how much she actually got. poor little girl is sitting here in just a diaper and she looks so sad and sweaty. Is there anything else I can do for her? I realize how lucky I was that ds was never sick. seriously, he got his first fever at 18 months. It's going to be another long night.
Re: 3 month old with fever
No motrin, not until 6 months.
Luke warm bath will help lower the fever. Dress her in a onesies. Less clothes with help bring the fever down. Dressing them keeps the heat in (was told this by my pedi)
Oh poor baby girl! I don't have any advice, but I hope you can keep that fever down tonight.
Keep us updated- lots of hugs
thanks REOM! She finally just fell asleep. whew.
