**co**

I have been flipping through the food blog you posted below and found this

https://fortheloveofcooking-recipes.blogspot.com/2009/02/chicken-with-40-cloves-of-garlic.html

Have you ever made it? ?I feel like I could smell it through the computer, but I love garlic!?

Re: **co**

  • I haven't!  I *just* tripped over the site last week while googling beef stew (hers' is awesome, although, I threw a bottle of beer in there, and added less beef broth...).

I am still drooling over our chimichangas.  I think DH re-fell in love with me tonight.

I love garlic, too, so they are on my list.  As is that blueberry banana bread from today...

  • yummy! ?And just what I needed, another food blog to go falling in love with :-)
  • Loading the player...
  • Haha.  I know.  Damn google.  BUT...because she's a mom, she's super into healthy (unlike PW), and I like that I can make her recipes without stressing about WW points. Or, REALLY worrying about them.

Well, until after the marathon.  Then I need to crack down on the eating again.

Have you looked at Hungry Girl yet (www.hungry-girl.com) ?  I just got her cookbook, and she's a WW fanatic.  And has made a fortune off of it!  Love her.

  • Ugh I know. ?Love you PW, but I think she is the reason I needed to join WW last week! ?Sheesh! ?

The few?recipes?I've glanced at on there seemed healthier, so that's good!

I looked in to HG (I think Sum. posted something about cupcakes last week) but she seems to use a lot of fake stuff (splenda, etc) and I'm not really into that. ?I was going to head over to borders tomorrow and see if they have it there so I can flip through it before I buy. ?I did see a WW cookbook at Costco Sat. ?So far, so good. ?I'm down 3.4 lbs from last week, so yay me :-)

  • That is fantastic.  I can single-handedly, thank the WW program for my success.  I am 45 lbs less than I was when I got pg.  I am one of those people who holds weight well, and just kept gaining and gaining after we got married.

Anyhow, I've maintained for 13 months, so I'll take it.

I doubt I'll use the HG for dessert stuff...I don't want it often, so I'd rather have a little of the "real deal" every now and then, but I don't mind using turkey burger instead of hamburger, etc. for things like turkey taco meatloaf.  DH didn't have ANY clue it was "diet" food.  And, I was anti-fat-free cheese, and still am in many aspects of life, but it worked wonders in the melted meals...
