I have to admit that I just recently joined and have become semi-addicted but why do they put so much of your info on there?

I am, but you don't have to have that much info on there- you can add/edit your profile to say as much as you like.

 You can edit your profile so that people can't search for you/see pictures or really in any way connect you to any of your information. My stuff is pretty private.
