Totally random name question

OK - we are nowhere near TTC # 3. But I came across the name Melody the other day and realized I really like it. It's not the usual kind of name I'd go for but for some reason I just really do like it.

But...then I realized that Kadence (Cadence) is a musical term too...and if you want to split hairs, Piper technically means someone who plays a pipe (like a bagpipe). I realized that it might be kind of cheesy to have 3 girls all named things having to do with music.

If you heard of sisters named these three names, would you make this connection?  Would you think their parents were going for some kind of musical theme? Especially with Kadence and Melody.

I have to ask this now before I get too attached to the name Melody. Be honest!!

I wouldn't have made the connection before you pointed it out.  

 

But, even after making the connection, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.  Lots of families have themes to their names......all beginning with the same letter, all named after sports figures, all named after flowers.......I think it's OK.

 

And you know, now that you've asked, you will have nothing but boys from here on out.

I would not havw made the connection either.  Since you call her Kady, not many people would know anyway.

I would never have made the connection. Melody is a very pretty name too. (just thought I would add that in)

I do like Melody, and don't think it's weird to have a musical theme, but I doubt many people would pick up on it.

It never would have occurred to me.  I think Melody is pretty!

I might have eventually made the connection, but probably not right off the bat.

BTW - I love the name Melody.
