I haven't heard/read anything about herbal tea being bad. What's wrong with it? I'm not a HUGE herbal tea drinker but I recently bought a box of decaffinated (sp) orange pekoe tea, is that ok?
they say that herbal teas haven't been researched enough/ nor approved by the FDA, so they can't be sure of the effects of some of the herbs on a fetus' development.
Some herbal teas, especially Red Raspberry Leaf Tea, are not good in first and second trimester, as they promote uterine contractions. It's great in the third trimester - my mom drank it in the last 2 months for uterine health and to get ready for labour.
**edit** Your decaf tea should be fine (sorry, I hit "send" too quickly)
