My water heater broke. :(

I had to be to work early (as in 3 hours earlier) this morning and the water would just not get warm in the shower. Went out to the garage and checked the pilot light. Still on. So now I get to go buy a water heater with my spare time after work. Woohoo.

Shoot. ?We had to get a new one and they weren't as expensive as I thought it would be (but I can't remember the price now!). ?

Did you try adjusting the thermastat?  Maybe it got bumped.  I would try that before buying a new water heater.

I just got a new one two weeks ago.  $850 with installation for a 40 gallon.  Yuck.

I appreciate the suggestion. We keep turning it up because it's been a growing problem since we moved in in August, so I know it's not that. We were shopping for a water heater anyway and were going to do it in the next couple weeks, I'm just irritated that I didn't get a hot shower this morning.

  No hot water on a day you need to be up extra early sucks royally!
