NPR: what should I do with my hair

I have had very long blonde hair for as long as I can remember (see in PIP post).  Last year I had side swept bangs but thats as CRAZY Tongue Tied as I've ever gotten.

My hair is very thick and I've always wanted to got chin length (or at least a bunch shorter) but am afraid that it will be too heavy on the bottom and also my face is round-ish.

Your thoughts?  I need something more current! :)

  • My hair is thick too....I say cut it.  The worse that can happen is you don't like it and it'll grow back.  Maybe start off cutting it shoulder-length...then go higher if you like.
  • I think there is a bob for everyone. Some are just longer than others! Mine has a ton of layers since I have thick hair. I too have a roundish face and I think it actually makes it look less round.

  • Cut it! If you have the lady layer it with a razor, it will get most of the bulk out, but you can still have the length.

  • I definitely think it's time for a much shorter cut, EMT! As long as you go somewhere good, and where there's no language barrier between you and your stylist, you can explain what you don't want in addition to what you like and what your skill-level and time-frame for styling. I think you should go just below your shoulder line. Something you can still pull back or put up when you need to.
