Re: Jeep Stroller

  • First baby so I don't already have one...but...DH is a HUGE jeep fan, (he does competition 4wheeling and Jeeps are his life)...so this was a "must" on our registry...

I was pretty impressed with instore demonstration...we picked the Liberty Limited (Jogger) real wheels that all rotate or lock positions, the carseat we chose belts in for infant use, (being so large though we have also registered for a snapngo stroller for smaller/convenience)...

It's purchased from my registry so unless BRU screwed up(which they are known to do) we should be getting it...

  • Just make sure you "test drive it" with a baby in it (a friends/niece/nephew) before deciding. I don't know if they changed since, but when my sister was first pg, she really liked the Jeep ones (her DH loved it too) and she was looking at the 3-wheeled one (not sure if they make a traditional 4-wheel one). Only problem.....the front wheel doesn't turn, it stays straight. So when you have a 25 lb kid in a stroller with a diaper back, shopping bags and whatever else is loading it down, you literally have to pick up the front end and use the back wheels to turn it, then drop the front end again. Gets more and more annoying the longer you do it and the heavier it gets. I was just at Disneyland and saw one with the 3-wheels and the grandma was having a hard time jerking the thing around to turn it - it could've been an older style but obviously my sister wasn't the only one who ran into that problem.

  • We have a big normal graco stroller and we got a jeep ubmrella stroller (around $30, can't remember the model).  As soon as DS was old enough, we ditched the big bulky Graco and use the jeep for everything.  It even has a sun shade.  We've taken it to places like festivals etc where you aren't always on paved walkways and it does SOOOO much better than a cheapie $10 umbrella stroller.
