terrible mommy re: diaper rash

About 10 min after I put DD down I heard her cry, but it was only for a min then she was done.  I figured she heard us awake and wanted to be with us etc.  When she woke this morning she had poopy which had to have been on there all night.  Her booty and girl stuff is soooo sore and red.  She just cried the painful cry as I cleaned her and put butt stuff on it.  I feel soooo bad (  I gave her a little motrin to hopefully help with the pain too.  So do I check on her every time she cries in the middle of the night or what?

 i think I let ds sleep in a poopy diaper all night the other day too. He was really gassy, so when Ichecked on him before we went to bed, I noticed his room smelled, but I thought it was from gas. He woke up in the morning with a diaper so full of diarrhea, I felt horrible. I had to bathe him and wash everything, since it leaked. He also had a diaper rash, and turns out it was a yeast rash, which hadn't gone away since the week before. Yesterday we took him to the pedi for the diarrhea and rash.  Ugh, I felt like the worst mom ever. If I notice a smell like that again I'll wake him up long enough to change him and put him back down.
