Hi. I'm going to introduce myself now. *waves* I'm Dayna/Ziggy. My DH is a video game designer and I supply elderly ladies with lovely cardigans while working on a degree in anthropology. We've been together 8 years yesterday, married 6 months. We have a very beloved dog named Emma and three cats. We live in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada. We have just gone off BCP, but will not be actively charting until this summer, so that my husband's current project will be wrapping and he'll have the time and energy to concentrate on starting a family. If it happens sooner, so be it.
I did not intend to offend anyone with my previous post, and I apologise for any touchiness that may have been construed. It's late at night and I'm stressed and it's been one of those days.
Nice to meet you all properly.
Re: Let's try this again.
Welcome Ziggy! GL!
Hello, it's nice to see someone put on their big girl undies and not run away after some misunderstanding. I honestly didn't mean to piss you off.
I've got a puppy name Emma too and was an anthro minor. Welcome.
Even if you are TTA, I'd start charting now, so that when you do start to TTC you will have a better idea of your chart pattern.

Welcome. I have respect for someone who plays their 360 into the ground! I hope you find support on here - we're usually pretty harmless. There's a post from last night with some "guidelines" to help you figure out the abbreviations and answers some questions.?
Take care.?
Good morning! I just got done reading your other post. I'm sorry you have to go through this right now. However I would like to tell you something that I have never told anyone on here. When I was 16 I was homeless, I was also using Meth. Needless to say I was not ready to be a parent. I got pg and from the moment I found out my life changed. People can change! I hope the same happens for your sister. Give her a chance.
Good luck to you and welcome:)
Missy- Thank you!
Melaina- Thanks. I appreciate it, and I probably jumped on you quickly too. Big girl undies are now securely on.
Excellent, Emmas are great dogs to have. Sounds like we actually have some things in common.
I've been using FF.com for one cycle now, just to better understand my chart pattern, as was suggested back when I first introduced myself. I haven't been using a BBT because we simply haven't bought one yet. We had an unexpected loss a while ago and so there is evidence of fertility.
Nova I have a deeper respect for you than ever before (and you know I've always loved ya!) You are so brave for coming out with this story and for turning your life around! ((HUGS))
If you have a normal therm, just start with that. I started with a normal therm and then bought a BBT later. I'm sorry you had an early loss, but charting can help identify others and identify and possible problems (short lutal phase, etc) if there are any.

Hi and Welcome. I missed the craziness of last night. I agree that you should start charting now to TTA. This will help you get to know your cycles and you will be more ready when you are TTC.
Lurk, google first, read TCOYF and start using fertilityfriend.com.
GL!
Nova - you are an amazing woman and such a good mom. I am so proud not only of your major life change but of your admission. I hope you are an example for other young women in your community. ::Big, giant hugs::?
Oh wow, thank you so much to everyone. It's really nice to meet all of you.
Missy- My Emma is a pittie. I used to work for a pit bull rescue association that placed good tempered pitties with loving families. 4 years ago we came across Emma and fell madly, madly in love. Breed aside, she doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body, she's a big suck.
FBM- lol, thank you. We're some pretty big gamer nerds, my DH and I. I used to work in video game dev too and it's a great industry. And thanks for the rec, I actually already read that post earlier this evening/morning.
Nova- Thank you so much for sharing that, and man, good for you!. I hope my sis can face up to her responsibility as well. She's not a bad kid by any means, just has made bad choices. My sister-in-law got pregnant at 18 and we were all terrified for her, but she's an absolutely fantastic mother to her 2 year old and I wish every child would be so lucky.
I have picked up TCOYF, and also "Before Your Pregnancy: A 90 Day Couple's Guide to a Healthy Conception" (or something like that...) It seems like charting is overwhelmingly recommended, so I'll need to pick up a BBT and get on it! Thanks again, you're all lovely.
I agree! How amazing to have come so far, and to have provided such a loving and supportive home for DD. Your children will have an incredible role model.
That's impressive, good for you. I'm amazed by your strength, and I hardly know you at all! Is that your daughter in your picture? She's lovely.

Stupid bump...meant to post:
That's awesome about your dog...I love a good recue story!
Also, good call on getting TCOYF...very eye-opening experience to read that book. Also check out fertilityfriend.com in conjunction. It makes charting so much easier!
Thank you very much
I have faith in my sister, she'll be okay.
I'm a sucker for rescues.. I've fostered everything from 10 newborn bunnies to a handicapped kitten (who I kept).
TCOYF is really helpful thus far, I'm enjoying it a lot. And I'm familiar with ff.com as well, it's a fantastic site.
Welcome Ziggy. I hope you find some peace to the situation with your sister. ((hugs))
Nova - you are an amazing person. Thanks for sharing your story.
Welcome and GL!
Hiya! Welcome aboard!
I saw your other post--I'm sorry about that situation. Hopefully your sister will grow up, sober up, and be a good mom!
