Doesn't pio in sesame need to be refrigerated?

We ordered our meds Friday and the person DH talked to said it didn't need to be refrigerated (I had told him it did). This will be our first cycle and I thought it had to be refrigerated but is it only after it's mixed or something?

I don't think you're ever supposed to refrigerate PIO. In fact, you should warm it before injecting it because it goes in easier that way. Unless the instructions said to (which I've never heard), I wouldn't.

ETA: And I don't think you usually mix PIO, it comes in a vial of oil, already prepared. The only concern I think is that once opened (seal broken) it should be used within a specific time period, not sure what that time period is though.

We just got our PIO w/sesame oil, too:) Our nurse said to keep it room temperature.

No problem - just to clarify, the "warming" is usually by putting it under your arm or in your bra for a minute, not in the microwave or anything!

My low-dose hCG was in a box with two vials and was kept at room temp until it was reconstituted (mixed) at the RE's and given back to me to keep in the fridge. ?Maybe that's what you're thinking of?
