Stomach skin is hurting and burning... any tips?

So the stretching is getting pretty bad.  The skin is sore to the touch all over now.  I have been putting the cream on (that didn't work- getting stretch marks all over) but I'm wondering if anyone else has any tips.  I guess I'm just concerned considering I could potentially have 10 more weeks!  I feel like these babies are going to pop out the front of my belly like the movie Alien.

Re: Stomach skin is hurting and burning... any tips?

  • I use vitamin E oil. I also use aloe vera. Hope that helps :)
  • Ugh...I'm so sorry.  I don't have any advice, but I kind of know what you're talking about.  I thought my skin was going to just pop open and explode one day w/ DD.  I'm getting pretty scared of how its going to feel with two in there.  I hope you find some good tips for relief.  I know it must be so painful.

  • mine was like that too at about 27 wks... it hurt so bad that you couldnt even touch my belly.  Unfortunately i found nothing helped except a little bit of time.  I have the crazy streth marks too and while it's a little late I just started using the palmers stretch mark massage cream... we'll see if that does any thing.

  • I wish I had some advice, but just wanted to say I feel your pain.  The skin on my belly goes from feeling numb to feeling like I have a terrible sunburn.  My sister gave me a cocoa butter bar (from Lush, I think) that I use at night, but it's so greasy it's not really practical.  I hope it gets better for you!

  • The only part that hurts on me now is my belly button.  Just a little not to bad, but I haven't saw a sign of stretch marks yet.  I have been rubbing Lots of extra virgin olive oil all over my tummy, sides and lower back to keep from getting them. My moms family swears by it.  So far it seems like it is working.  I don't have dry skin and no stretch marks, and i'm popping out pretty good.  I know I get stretch marks easy because my first year out of high school I gained some weight and got them on my lower back pretty fast.  It stinks to put it on, but it works. Good luck.
