?? about these shoes for DD

I was out shoe shopping with DS and I saw these for DD. https://tinyurl.com/c24xqw

I REALLY liked them in person because they were sporty like a tennis shoe but had the mary jane strap.  My question is, would she have to wear them like regular mary janes with tights or no socks or could she wear them with socks and pants like a tennis shoe too?  Ideally I'd like them to make the transition from now to spring.  WDYT?
