is it normal?

I am in the middle of my 13th week. With the exception of feeling like I have  a sore throat (thanks, students!) I feel 10000% better than I have in weeks. No cramping, no throwing up, I don't even feel as bloated as before. The only real symptom I still have is I'm so tired (going to sleep at 9:30 and sleeping until 7:00- with frequent getting up to pee breaks)

Of course, I'm so nervous about losing these two (I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks) so every little 'difference' freaks me out! I'm trying to only think positive, but it's hard for me to not think "what if".

Did you feel better at this point and not so "pregnant"?

Re: is it normal?

  • Welcome to second Tri!

I felt a lot better at the beginning of second tri- less nausea, ect. This will likley be the best part of your pregnancy so ENJOY mama.   :)

  • With this pregnancy, I felt much better after about 16 weeks.  But I am still so tired!  With DD, I couldn't keep anything down for 6 months, and was in and out of the hospital for dehydration.  Welcome to second tri!!

  • ditto- 2nd tri is the best it gets :) enjoy it- b/c with twins it might not last as long as a typical singleton pg :)

i started to feel much better a few weeks ago - around 16-17w - and i'm trying to do as much as i can now before i start to feel like crap again when my belly is simply ginormous :)

  • I'm almost 11weeks and have never felt pregnant aside from slightly sore bbs so I know what you mean, it makes me paranoid but since I have no 'danger signs' I just keep in mind that odds are everything is totally fine in there! Enjoy feeling good :)!!!!
  • I started to feel a lot better in the 14th week, with the exception of being tired.  It freaked me out too.  Take advantage of feeling good.  Smile

  • At around 16 weeks I started to feel better, eat more etc. But my 2nd tri has brought a different set of "feelings" & feeling pregnant.  Stay positive! I too some days feel what if..I think it's just one of those things you will worry about. But know that you will feel better soon and once they start to kick you...your fears will subside even more:) Also youget more u/s which is always a positive!
  • Thanks everyone! It's nice to be able to talk to women who have had/having the same experiane! Thanks for keeping me (somewhat!!!) sane!
