AW: I'm proud of my H!

He's a high school basketball coach and has currently been at this particular hs for 3 years.  When he got there, the program was in shambles and all the girls were very unhappy.

He found out tonight that he won Coach of the Year in his region for the 2nd year in a row after winning his region for the second year in a row!  When they won last year, it was the first time in 11yr that the school had won region in girls basketball.  The went to the state tourney and made it further than any team in over 15yrs. This year was supposed to be a bust because he lost 2 of his best players (one had to transfer out, the other was out on injury for the season).  AND, 2 of his seniors have been offered athletic scholarships.  They're such a good group of girls, I love every single one of them (I'm Mrs. Coach to them)

I'm very very proud of him.  I have to remember that on nights like this when he's at practice.  Again.

Next week is state!  Keep your fingers crossed for us!

The allstar game?  Probably not.  We talked about it briefly, but never got around to getting tix.

We were lucky and got offered tix just yesterday.  And, I already had a babysitter lined up because I assumed we would have dinner on Sunday night instead of Saturday since it's always so crowded on VDay.
