Houston Babies

If you make your own baby food, come in.

How do you cook sweet potatoes for your kiddo?  In the oven?  At what temp and for how long?

TIA!

  • I give them a few pokes with a fork, wrap them in foil and bake at 350* for maybe 30-45 minutes? I don't know, I just poke them every once in a while to see if they're soft all the way through.

  • I steamed them. No idea how long, just until they were soft.

  • 350 for 45-1 hour.  Depends on the size of the tater.  I poke a few holes too.

At least this is how I will do it in a week or so when he starts solids.

  • I've cranked it to 375 for about 40 mins, I've steamed them and even baked them in the microwave (typically on high for 6ish minutes per potato if average size).
  • I did 350 for about 50 minutes and they came out great!  One was bigger than the other and took a little longer.
