Friend died, DD has a heart murmur, I have cancer-this week sucks!
I'm venting sorry.
DD went to the Dr. this morning for a cold and came out with a referral to a pediatric cardiologist. She has a murmur that somehow no one caught before now so we have to see what the cardiologist says.
I have skin cancer and had surgery yesterday and the site hurts like none other.
My sorority sister died this morning from breast cancer. She was 31 years old and leaves behind three babies and a husband.
Yup... this week sucks.

Thanks girls. I just don't know where to start... how at 2.5 is she just now being diagnosed with a murmur? I don't get it. Thanks for the positive murmur comments... I hope she is just like you guys!
My girlfriend was diagnosed with cancer when she was pregnant with her third baby. It was so aggressive that the determined that it had probably been in her body only a month or two. That was in October. She passed away this morning. Her boys are 4, 2, and 4 months. Heartbreaking.

If it helps, my brother was born with a heart murmur that ended up closing on its own before he was 2. He went on to be a top-ranked tennis player as a kid, played college tennis and is now a tennis pro at a very swanky resort.
I had melanoma before & I also was born with a heart murmur. I found out recently that I still have the murmur, but I'm okay too. The melanoma was found when I was pregnant & was removed shortly after I had DS. I insisted on a PET scan, but my dermatologist?said a regular CAT scan would be better. Make sure you get a scan to make sure it hasn't spread. I'm fine & mine didn't spread, so I'm okay with that too.

My DH has had a heart murmur his entire life, and never had any complications (thank God). I hope the removal site gets better soon. I've had skin cancer removed from my face, so I know how you feel. I'll say about after 3 days, the pain subsides.
