learned my lesson the hard way

ALWAYS pack snacks. We ran out of the house this morning because DH had to have tests done at the hospital. (nice not to be me for once!) He wasn't done for at least 2 hours. I was so hungry! By the time we got home, I was so sick that I threw up. (and it had been a whole week and a half since I was sick last!)

Now I know to never leave the house without a snack or two in my bag.  lesson learned!

Re: learned my lesson the hard way

  • Add a bottle of water to that list.  It's just as bad to be dehydrated.  I'm sorry you learned the hard way.....I think I did too!  LOL
  • I learned the same lesson!  I always have snacks and water in my car.  I bring extra snacks to work, etc.

  • Ditto Sugar- never be without water either!

  • I'm sorry, I know how that is. I def agree about the water, but pretty soon you will be so thirsty all the time that won't be a problem.  At least that's how it was for me.  You are going to need the snacks from here on out.  you should see all the snacks I bring to work with me.  (healthy snacks) Anyway sorry you had to learn the hard way, but at least you know now and you weren't like stuck at work or something.
  • Totally agree. My purse basically has my wallet, cell phone, keys and then all different snacks - apples, granola bar, pretzels, etc. It's more like a pantry!
  • I'm sorry you had to learn that lesson.  I remember that snacks were my BEST FRIENDS during my twin PG.  I always had a bottle of water and a protein bar/bananna/cheese with my at all times.  DH made fun of me but even he admitted that my having a stash saved me more than once!

  • That happened to me around 11 weeks, and since then I bring fishies or pretzels or an apple and a bottle of water with me.  Hope yh's test come back good and you start feeling better soon.

  • Yeah...I used to keep snacks in my car too...pretzels all the way!!!!!!!!!!
  • When I was pregnant with dd, I carried a huge bag of snacks with me.  My mom thought it was ridiculous, but it saved me numerous times!
