He got a foot tall Melissa and Doug mailbox for V-day from my mom. He sat on top of it and yelled "Airmail!!!"
I change his diaper and he asks for Burts Bees diaper ointment. Then he says "Burt's Bees makes it feel better!!"
What are some of your DC-isms?
Re: Haven't written Niko-isms in a while...
Too funny! Burt's Bees is great stuff - such a smart guy.
I love your new siggy pic of Niko! He is such a handsome little man!
Well she didn't say it, but she let me know what she thought.
We started veggies this week. I decided on a green one so that we could get those out of way before introducing the sweet stuff. I opened the green beans and gave her a little. The face that she made was PRICELESS! She HATED THEM!!! I stood firm and keep giving her little bites so she could get used to it. We feed her while she sits in her bumbo on the table. By the fifth or sixth bite she decided she had enough. She leaned as far over the side of the bumbo as she could and she opened her mouth and let the beans fall out of her mouth! She found them so distasteful that she couldn't even spit them because that meant she had to taste them more, she just let them fall out of her mouth on to the table.
She then sat up straight and gave me a look like, "I dare you to give me more of that nasty stuff."
I died laughing. Needless to say, we have moved on to carrots.

My dad is trying to teach Caleb about hot and cold so he lets him touch his coffee mug or water glass and tells him what temp it is. Now we can't get through a meal without DS INSISTING on touching everyone's glass or mug.
I love hearing your Niko-isms. It brings such a smile to my face!

This morning on the way to Pre-school Avery told me it was a good thing she brought her shades to school because it was so sunny outside. I have no idea where she learned to call sunglasses "shades."
She's also started calling Owen "handsome fella" and "little dude" again, no idea where she's getting this.
Owen showed me a handful of dirt yesterday when we were outside and proudly announced "dirty!" He then proceeded to eat the dirt
Love the Burt's Bees comment - I'm such a product whore it's not even funny.
