exercise

Ok so I spoke with my doc and she said that I should not let my heart rate reach over 140 while excercising.  I have been following this rule. I have been a runner for years though so I am still walking/jogging about 4-5 miles a day 4 to 5 times a week.  Does anyone have any idea how manyextra  calories I should be consumming? I feel like the days I work out the most I am ravaneous.

Thanks!

Re: exercise

  • If you have always been a runner, your body is used to this and I can't imagine you would need to consume any extra calories than you already are.  I am a big believer that your body will tell you what it needs, so just don't deny yourself if you are hungry.

  • multiply your weight by 16, that's how many calories you need to maintain your current weight

    subtract to lose

    add to gain
