stinky toddler breath

Addie's breath is a little stinky lately, not awful, just stale. I'm not sure what to do about it. Her allergies are bothering her so I think it's because of the mouth breathing, (I hope). any suggestions?

Re: stinky toddler breath

  • Maybe just offer her some water throughout the day and brush her teeth in the morning and at night?  Sometimes Sarah's breath isn't that great and I try to do a little brushing if she'll let me, which isn't often!

  • we brush 2x a day! but that toddler toothpaste really doesn't freshen much.

  • Could you move her to the children's toothpaste?  I've started buying it for Sarah in the bubblegum flavor.  It's got flouride and seems to freshen more.

  • I agree, switching to the other toothpaste does help some.  You just have to use a small amount since they will still tend to swallow it.  M hates the bubble gum one, but there's one that's fruity like her toddler toothpaste.

I also got her to start letting me brush her tongue...

Good luck!  I miss the days of baby angel breath!
