hey - i was going back through posts and saw your ingrown toenail one.  and you're right, it does equal pain - i had them in both of my big toes. 

they did a local anisthetic (sp?) and really, that's what hurt the most....b/c it already hurts anyway and they go and stick a needle in it... BUT get your finger taken care of.  they basically deaden that side of the nail to not grow, so you'll never have it ingrown again and that is so worth it.  plus, if you don't deal with it - the infection will hurt worse than any needle.  gl dear!

p.s. and good news on your weight loss/pant size.  keep it up girl -it's really cool to see you do this!.
