Ughhh I am starting to wonder when I can wear my regular clothes again....when did you get out of maternity clothes after having DC?
Most of my jeans are size 4 so I am getting bummed. I don't really look pregnant anymore (I still have weight to get rid of) but it seems like my hips got wider.
And if you stopped wearing your wedding rings when did you get to put them back on? I had to stop due to swelling and now they won't fit past my knuckles (almost 4 weeks after Madison is here).
Re: Fitting into things after baby?
I lost most of the weight very quickly, but I want to say it was about 6 weeks until I was not wearing maternity pants anymore. It really does take 4-6 weeks for your uterus to shrink back down. My hips definitely still feel wider, but nothing too crazy. I pretty much got back into ALL of my clothes when Zoe was about 4 months old, but then I gained some of the weight back, that can happen! LOL Now I'm back at the diet again and all my clothes fit again. You'll get there! It just takes time.
As for my rings, I can't remember exactly, but probably a month or so the puffyness was all gone.
I never had to take my rings off, so I'm no help there.
As for the clothes, I got sick of my maternity clothes after about 3 or 4 weeks and went out and bought 2 pairs of shorts and 1 pair of jeans to get me through until my old clothes fit again.
I would say that I lost all the baby weight by about 4 months after, BUT my old clothes still didn't fit b/c my body was not the same!! Some of my things fit, but not everything. My old shirts fit me, but the pants were a different story. I even lost weight and was 10 pounds under my pre-preg weight and still didn't fit into all my old pants. I think I've given up on some of them and realize that they weill never fit again.
I think everyone is different and your body will recover in its own way so give it time.
Zachary is almost 3 months old and I think I still look pregnant.
I had a c-section though so I think I might still be puffy from that? I don't know. That is probably just a lame excuse!!!! I am still wearing maternity pants and hate it because most of them just fall off.
On Sunday I went to the mall and (I am not kidding) tried on 40+ pairs of pants and not a single pair fit me, even trying for a bigger size. I wanted to just die.

I wanna say about 4 weeks out I broke down and bought a pair of size 14 jeans because my size 10s were WAY too small (and that was my big pants too). I wore those for awhile, some size 12s fit me a month out. Took awhile for all of the swelling and water weight to go down so that I can actually fit into my old clothes. Now I fit in my size 10s and thats with me still weighing more than my prepregnancy weight so who knows how small I can be once I drop another 8-10lbs.
Can't remember when my wedding rings fit back though.
I never had an issue with my rings- they fit throughout my entire pregnancy..
As for my clothes- regular stuff fit a few weeks after having Nadia. Now did they look good on? That's a totally different story! LOL!
I gave in and bought a pair of jeans like two weeks post pregnancy and I am happy to say they are nice and loose now.
Now, three months later, I look decent in my pre-prego jeans as long as I am wearning a spanx underneath...
I still need to loose like 8 pounds and do A LOT of working out before my body is anywhere near what it used to be. I need some motivation...
