I tried to pack the minimum of what I would need for my natural childbirth plan. I labored 30 hours and ended up w. a c-section. Here is what I found I used:
- chap stick
- gatorade
- dryer balls (these nubby balls I used to squeeze during contractions or they were used to massage my lower back)
- saline nasal spray (the air was so dry and after such a long labor my nose was a mess)
- Lightweight robe (for walking halls)
- comfy shoes (I wore dansko clogs)
- my own toiletries
- Change of clothes, toiletries, snacks for DH
- prenatal vitimans
- nursing tanks
- flip flops (for the shower)
- camera & video camera
- big & comfy going gome outfit for me, especially w. the c-sec
- NB sized outfit for baby
What I wish I had - the bump's input/output chart available online. They asked us to track length of feedings and diapers - this is much easier to use than creating your own in a notebook.

Re: Things I used from Hospital Bag
Soon to celebrate the day we met, even if the day before marks when we said goodbye.
Do you have the link to this?
Thanks!
I wore maternity sweats that had a waist that wouldn't interfere with my inscision and a light weight top.....leaving the hospital and the drive home is sure to make you perspire. It was 7 degrees out and I was sweating like crazy.
Oh, and granny panties that would clear the inscision site too.
thanks for your advice
Thanks!
