will you be the type of mom

who picks up dc in pajama bottoms?  Most of the moms at dd's school pick their children up wearing fleece character print pajama bottoms so I was just wondering.

Re: will you be the type of mom

  • NO!  I hate that.  I think I would at least throw on a pair of jeans.

  • Absolutely not!  I feel like pajamas are that for a reason--they are meant to be worn to bed and/or around the house--not in public.
  • I might drop her off in pj's from time to time, but probably won't pick her up like that. I certainly won't be getting very dolled up, though.
  • Not me. I dont think I've ever walked out of my house in pj bottoms.

  • i doubt it.. im not really the type to leave my house in my pj's.. i watch too much what not to wear to be an offender.. i hope i will be the cute mom in her skinny jeans that the rest hate.. LoL

  • I'm always on the way to or from work....so no! I'm secretly a little jealous, though.

  • I wish!  All the SAHMs at the local elementary school show up in teeny tiny tennis outfits.  I'll probably just be in work clothes.  I'm sure DH will be in full bum regalia when he takes his turn in the pickup line though.
  • Fleece character bottoms, heck no. But Nike or Adidas running pants-definately!  Never say never...unless you're a mommy you have NO idea yet...the first 4 months I was lucky to have my teeth brushed by noon.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who puts on actual pants to pick up dc:)
  • I hate that too.  I'm always dressed for work when I pick up DS, but my Mom was a stay at home Mom and always showered and dressed before taking us to school.  It doesn't seem that hard.
  • Nope! Pj's are for the house.
  • I am too much of an avid "what not to wear" fan to do that. I hear their voices when I'm going to make an undoubtedly bad choice.

  • The parents wear that?  Yeah.  No.  Maybe a pony tail and no make up, but I don't go out in public in PJs.

your so silly, I heart you:)
  • Hell no! I would try to dress decent and wear makeup otherwise they may think Im a student there! lol
  • I just might if I wasn't feeling well or something.
  • no way!  That just seems kinda weird.

is that dressing down? i only wear my hair down and wear make up on the weekends now... I say, never say never.. i don't leave the house in pj bottoms.. (ok, occasionally when i need to walk the dog early or late since we don't have a yard) but you never know.. you could have a crazy morning and throwing on jeans before your kids is late for school could be the last thing you worry about.

  • No, but that might be because the only pair of fleece pajama bottoms I own have a hole in the butt! :)

No seriously, though...it does not take that much effort to throw on a pair of jeans! Or at least a pair of yoga pants! And for god's sake...wear a bra and if you can't tame your hair, a nice stylish baseball cap! :)

  • I have never been able to wear my pjs out of the house. People seem to do it all the time but I MUST change to jeans before leaving the house.
  • No, I don't even go to the mailbox at the end of my driveway in pajama bottoms.  If there were some sort of emergency I'm sure I wouldn't worry about it and it could happen but it wouldn't be daily.  Also my pajama bottoms are either yoga pants or warm up pants...they don't involve childrens cartoon characters.
