I go with Griffin!!!!  My best friend growing up had a different spelling and to this day she gets mad when people spell it wrong.  Be easy on your child so he doesn't have to deal with always spelling his name.  Just my opinion.

Gryphon is my dog's name.  No one can ever pronounce it, or spell it properly.  Probably would've made my life easier to spell it Griffin.
