Babies: 9 - 12 Months

after a tooth breaks through...

After their tooth broke through their gums, how long did it take your LO's to come all the way out?  My daughter's bottom 2 teeth are just barely out, she doesn't seem to be in pain, thank goodness, knock on wood.

  • oh my gosh, her 2 bottom teeth broke through at the end of December and they are still tiny!! They've definitely made some good progress over the last few weeks, but it's been at least a month and a half so far!
  • Once DDs actually had poked completely through (meaning the entire ridge is out, not necessarily the entire body of the tooth) her pain stops. But her bottom 2 poked through before Xmas and it still looks like they could get longer and it's been almost 2months. Is that what you mean by "all the way out"?

  • that's what i meant...thanks.  I didn't realize teeth took so long.  My husband said this morning he thought it would take a couple month and I called him a dummy, ha!
