what did you do or plan to do if u went back to work

in the week before you went back? i just want to do as much as possible with her. i had her sleep on my chest this am from 7-10am and am just cuddling her way more. i am going to spoil her for daycare! wondering if i should do something special before i go back but not much you can do with a 10 week old!

This is my 3rd week back and I would love to be back to that week before I came back...if that makes sense.  I just cuddled a lot that week before and now on the weekends all I want to do is cuddle.  She is already battling a cold! ugh!

I go back in 2 weeks but the last week I have planned to get together with a few friends with babies and we're doing 2 practice days at daycare. ONe day I will be in there with her for a few hours. THe next day I will leave her for 3-4 hrs. HOpefully that will make the transition easier. THis week I am making freezer meals and relaxing asmuch as possible with her. I am sad to go back in some ways and looking forward to it in others.

Do whatever you want to do--she's too young to spoil at this point.  And most daycares can still cuddle and rock an infant, even if they have other babies to take care of.  They just won't be able to do it as much as you can.

 

I savored my last week of leave with DS.  We did one half-day trial run at daycare, during which I ran around town like crazy, trying to get all sorts of errands done.  Other than that, DS and I went on walks, took naps together, played on his playmat, and cuddled a lot.  I told myself that when I was with him the last few days of leave, I would do whatever he wanted, so we did.  You won't get that luxury very often once you're back at work.
