Cheese Quesadillas for 13 month old?

We are having soft tacos for dinner tonight and I thought I'd make Joe a cheese quesadilla, but it sort of seems to thick for him. Do/did yall feed your 13 month old foods with this thick of texture? He can eat pretty much anything now, so I don't see why he couldn't have this....just checking ahead of time.

(oh and for the health conscious, he will also be getting fruit and carrots on the side)

  • I'm pretty sure DS was eating quesadillas (cut up small) at that age, so I would go for it - could always make them thin. ?Quesadillas are great for hiding things in - I used to sneak chicken and spinach in when he wouldn't eat meats and green veggies.

  • Elizabeth eats cheese quesadillas at almost 12 months.  I just cut the pieces really small for her.

  • Sure.  Kamryn has had no problems with them so far.
  • Amelia eats them and has for MANY months.  She doesn't want them cut up, she likes to hold the 1/4 and eat bites off of it.  I think it makes her feel like a big girl.

I always used to cut stuff into little itty bitty pieces til I went to drop him off for lunch at daycare (about fourteen month's) and they handed him an entire slice of pizza to maneuver and he did GREAT.  Now... I cut quesadilla's up into fourth's and he goes to town.

  • Natalie was eating quesadillas at around 10 months. She loves them (when she's not in a super picky mood)!
