Babies: 0 - 3 Months

my baby STTN, but I don't

DS is sleeping through the night, but not me!  I'm a paranoid freak.  I get up almost every hour to check on him.  I don't know why I'm putting myself through this.  SIDS scares the crap out of me.  Anyone else having this problem.  I don't know why I'm so uneasy at night while he's sleeping.  I always heard you'll never sleep the same after you have a child, but this is a little overboard.

We have these and it makes sleeping sooooo much easier for us.  We have never had a false alarm and it is worth the money.

  • I have the exact problem. I ended up going to the dr for it, along with a few other minor issues. Her conclusions was that it was a form of PPD.  If it is extreme as you say it is, I would call your doctor.

  • I honestly sleep fine.  I'm so tired most night that I sleep just fine.  SIDS is definitely something to be concered about but don't let it stress you out.  The percentages of SIDS deaths are acutally quite low (even though they scare parents a lot) Soon LO will be rolling over and on his belly sleeping and if your stressed now, then you'll NEVER sleep once that happens.

  • babysense monitor has saved my sanity too!! i love it. the best $130 i have spent
  • We also got a video monitor with night vision.  Allows me to look at her without every disturbing her.  It has night vision and you can hear her breath.

  • Ditto the Babysense movement monitor. I used to inadvertently wake her up by checking her breathing. This monitor helps us *both* STTN....
  • Yup - I wake up a few times a night too! ?I'm getting a video monitor so I can have some peace of mind...I can't even hear the kid most of the time when he wakes up because he just sits in his crib sucking his thumb waiting for me!
