Clicky Poll: c/s mamas who want more children...

Re: Clicky Poll: c/s mamas who want more children...

  • Even though my c/s was easy to recover from, I'm really hoping that I can have a VBAC.  It's just an experience I've always wanted to have.

  • I wanted a VBAC and planned on it but bailed at the last minute for some reason and it is good I did because VBAC would have either killed me or I would have lost my uterus.

The OB said my uterus was so paper thin he could see Julias hair through it. Had I gone into labor it would have ruptured.

If I have another and have even one contraction I go to the hospital ASAP.

I am never allowed VBAC now.

  • I am hoping for a VBAC; however, despite that dd was not as large as anticipated (at c-section date she was measuring 11 lbs, she was 7 lbs 12 oz.), she had not engaged or moved down at 34 weeks and my MW said that usually means they "won't fit".  If it looks like the baby "won't fit", I'll schedule a c-section.  I want the fancy room laboring mothers get! Stick out tongue

  • I voted another c/s. I am terrified of the unknown and there is a little part of me that was happy to have had a c/s. It is a medical procedure and precise. Labor is unknowing and can last many, many hours. Now that I know what my c/s was like, and had an easy recovery, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I would probably vote VBAC had it not been so smooth, though.

wow...this sounds lik my story!  37 weeks measured almost 10lbs, 39w 5d measured almost 11lbs... OB said "she won't fit" as well as tech calling OB b/c her head was also large.  DD was 9lb 1oz, and yep...big head lol.  OB said she probably would not have fit and would have had an emergency c/s if he induced me (yeah 39w 5d check up... 0cm dialated.. head high, she wasn't going anywhere soon lol)

  • Well, I wanted to VBAC with #2, but she was breech also. DD#1 was breech which is why I had c/s #1. With my 3rd, I was NOT allowed to VBAC.

  • i haven't decided yet.  i'm scared of VBAC, but i have had a difficult time recovering from the c/s so we'll cross that bridge when (and if) we get there.
  • My vote was for c/s because that's the only way for me to go now that I've already had 2 c-sections:( Bummer!
