the pp got me thinking about bassinets, and I was going to look into buying a stand for our bassinet that attaches to the stroller.
As i googled, i read things about how it is not safe for overnight use. This concerns me because why would it be safe for use for a sleeping baby in the stroller, or to carry inside, but not for overnight. (especially a newborn who will be waking every couple of hours). So now I wonder if how I envisioned using this (even just for naps or whatever), may be dangerous
I bought the Speedi Dreami for the quinny buzz, but apparently this is common for bassinet attachments to strollers.
anyone look into this? thoughts?
Re: how can a bassinet be safe for stroller use, but not overnight?
it' not a carseat- it is a bassinet.
and i believe it is full sized because it fits into the moses basket stands. weird

Meghan, she's not talking about a carseat, but about the bassinet attachment that can be used with strollers so that the baby can lie flat.?
I know they're called 'carrycots' rather than bassinets in some places: but basically, it's a basket that allows the baby to lay fully flat while in the stroller.?
Well, here's some food for thought.
It's better to leave a sleeping baby in a crib or something designed for overnight use b/c of weight limits and other specifications.
BUT- a bassinet is typically used for newborns up to around 12-15 pounds. Those infants don't normally sleep through the entire night, hence, they can sleep in a PnP or bassinet. They only sleep for a couple hours (hopefully a little more than that!) and then they're up again. Bassinets aren't designed for long hours of sleeping, really (ex. 6/8 hours). So, a stroller is fine b/c you wouldn't leave your infant to sleep in there for half the night, just as you wouldn't have your baby in a bassinet for long periods of time, either.
This is just the conclusion I came to.
